COMFORT

Speculative Design Approach to comfort: 3D models

Comfort is not only a physical sensation, it is an emotional state tied to our relationships with all aspects of our surroundings. Drawing inspiration from connections between individuals and their environment, I explore the narrative of comfort within interpersonal relationships. I inspire viewers to reimagine empty spaces around them as conduits for connection and comfort.

  1. Digital Asset 1: The network structure features two large holes, symbolising freedom for two bodies to enter and exit a relationship with ease. There is a sense of autonomy in the relationship dynamic.

  2. Digital Asset 2: The network structure features one large and one small hole. One body has freedom to move in and out of the space while the other is constrained, symbolising the imbalanced distribution of emotional energy in a relationship.

  3. Digital Asset 3: The network structure features two tight holes, symbolising the deep intimacy and connection between individuals in a relationship. The compact dynamic can be both profound and uneasy at times.

Material Translation: From digital to physical

  1. Phase 1: The sculpture is enveloped in a profound darkness, symbolising the absence of energy release. The thermochromic paint remains in its deepest black hue.

  2. Phase 2: As warmth is applied, the sculpture begins to transition into a lighter hue, symbolising the emergence of energy release. The thermochromic paint shifts to reveal subtle shades of grey.

  3. Phase 3: The sculpture transforms into its brightest shade, symbolising the peak of energy transfer. The thermochromic paint shifts to reveal white zones.

JUST DO IT
YOUR WAY

Poster campaign to increase Nike membership engagement among 14–19 year old girls in London
Reimagining Nike membership as an integrated part of everyday life, using bold, youth-driven visuals placed across physical and digital touchpoints.

By aligning with the behaviors, spaces and cultural interests of young women in London, the posters position membership as relevant and accessible, encouraging sign-up and ongoing engagement through visibility and relatability.

Drawing inspiration from the popularity of Spotify Wrapped and personality-driven content, the campaign introduces a “vibe-based” entry point into Nike membership. Users are invited to discover their personal style, energy and relationship to sport.

This approach transforms membership into a form of self-expression, creating a more engaging and personalised connection between the user and the brand.

OFFLINE SONAR

OffSonar Music Festival Rebranding
Offline Sonar is a rebrand of OFFSónar that challenges the screen-driven culture of contemporary music festivals. In response to audiences experiencing events through their devices and FOMO-led behaviors, the project reimagines the festival as a space centred on human connection and shared musical experience.

The identity is expressed across a range of touchpoints, translating the concept into physical and digital experiences. A series of posters form the core visual output, using layered imagery and soft, diffused color to contrast typical high-intensity festival aesthetics and communicate the idea of presence over documentation.

This visual language extends into merchandise, including apparel and a vinyl collection, where the concept of “signal” and disconnection is explored through graphics and typography.

From symbol to system: Offline Sonar Treatment
The custom title treatment. inspired by the network icon, transforms a symbol of online connectivity into one of physical connection. It is further extended into the festival’s logo.

SPOKEN TYPE

Phonetic typographic system
Spoken Type is a modular typographic system that explores the relationship between written language and speech. The project translates pronunciation into visual form by embedding phonetic elements directly into letter structures, allowing text to be both read and “heard” simultaneously.

Built from a modified Helvetica base, the system uses layered forms and vowel extensions to reflect how sounds are constructed, while maintaining legibility through familiar typographic foundations. A supporting colour system further reinforces this concept, mapping variations in tone and intensity to the physical movement of the mouth during speech.

SHAPE YOUR FEELINGS

A tool for sensory experiences and emotional responses for healthier relationships
Shape Your Feelings is a Design Project rooted in my belief that communication can extend beyond language. This project explores how emotional connection can be felt, expressed and shared through shape, color and scent without relying on words.

This outcome represents my ongoing commitment to creating spaces where people feel emotionally seen. I use design as a tool to make the invisible aspects of a relationship visible, showing that communication beyond language can lead to new and often stronger forms of connection.

HOME

A Mood Reel film exploring the idea of home through connection and comfort
A mood-driven film exploring the idea of home as an emotional state rather than a physical place. Through a combination of sculptural forms, archival footage and everyday interactions, the film reflects on how feelings of comfort and belonging emerge from the exchange of energy between individuals.

Final Outcome - Conceptual Campaign

BETTER WITH TIME

A conceptual photography shoe campaign (university project) exploring product storytelling without showing the product itself

Better With Time is a conceptual photography-led campaign developed as part of a university brief for Birkenstock, exploring how a product can be communicated without being visually present.

Working within the constraint of not showing the shoe itself, the project focuses on storytelling through image-making. A staged photographic shoot using warm lighting, silhouettes and intimate compositions captures moments of connection, suggesting how the product integrates into everyday life and becomes more meaningful over time.

Rather than presenting durability in a functional way, the campaign reframes longevity as an emotional experience, drawing parallels between ageing in human relationships and the evolving comfort of the product. The result is a subtle, narrative-driven visual language that communicates brand values through atmosphere rather than direct representation.

The visual language contrasts staged minimalism with raw spontaneity. While the hero image is carefully composed and atmospheric, the supporting imagery embraces imperfection—grain, movement, and candid interaction.

This duality reflects the core concept: longevity is not just durability, but emotional layering. The product is positioned as an invisible constant within evolving human narratives, reinforcing brand value through indirect storytelling.

RAIN OR SHINE

A modular urban shelter designed to support community, sustainability, and year-round outdoor living in London

Rain or Shine responds to London’s harsh weather conditions and lack of accessible green space by creating a sheltered, communal structure that encourages outdoor activity throughout the year.

At the centre, integrated planters introduce greenery directly into the structure, promoting biodiversity and offering a natural focal point. These planted elements soften the urban setting, improve air quality, and reinforce the project’s emphasis on ecological resilience and well-being.

REJUVINATION

An architectural exploration of form and spatial experience

Rejuvination explores curvilinear architectural forms through both physical and drawn outcomes. The work focuses on how continuous curves can define space, guide movement, and create a sense of cohesion within a structure.

The approach combines formal experimentation with practical consideration, informed by Frank Gehry’s use of expressive geometry and Foster + Partners’ emphasis on functionality and user experience. The result is a study of how form can influence both spatial organisation and the way a space is perceived.

‘Narcissus Garden’ Installation

NARCISSUS GARDEN

Mirrored panels and clay figures exploring reflection, repetition, and spatial perception
This project explores reflection as a spatial and perceptual tool. Using mirrors as an architectural element, the work investigates how repeated surfaces can alter the way space is experienced and understood.

Influenced by Yayoi Kusama’s use of mirrored environments, the installation is constructed from three mirrored panels arranged to enclose space. The interaction between reflections and the viewer creates a continuous visual field, where boundaries become less defined.

Clay figures are introduced within the space to test how form is perceived through repetition and distortion. Their placement within the mirrored structure allows them to be seen from multiple angles simultaneously, shifting the focus from the physical object to its reflected presence.
